Analysts of DRAMeXchange, division of TrendForce, have estimated the volume of the world market of dynamic memory with random access (DRAM) in the first quarter of the current year.
It is reported that the revenue of suppliers of DRAM for the first three months of the 2016th has made $8,56 billion. It is about 16,6% less than last year when the income in a segment equaled $10,26 billion in comparison with the last quarter.
As the main reasons for so essential recession experts call glut of the market, decrease in the average prices of memory and weak demand in the computer market in general.
The largest producer of DRAM is Samsung. During the first quarter the South Korean giant has gained $3,97 billion in the corresponding segment that is about 17% less than result for the last quarter. The share of the company has appeared at the level of 46,4%.
On the second place there is SK Hynix with revenue in $2,32 billion. In quarter calculation the income of the company was reduced by 19,2%, and the share has made about 27,1%.
Closes the three of the largest DRAM suppliers of Micron, managed to gain $1,58 billion. The share of this company is equal to 18,5%.
